About

Hi, I'm Yusuf

I'm a digital artist based in Canada, specialising in character design, concept art, and world-building. My style blends semi-realism with dark fantasy elements — think ancient myths meets modern brushwork.
I work with game studios, indie developers, brands, and private collectors. If you need a hero that feels alive, a monster that haunts dreams, or a whole civilisation sketched from scratch — I'm your guy.

My approach: storytelling first, details second, deadlines always.

Cases

My work
  • Norse Fantasy — Character Sheet for an Indie RPG

A full character turnaround for a Norse-inspired indie RPG. I designed the main hero — weathered armour, runic tattoos, and a broken axe that tells a story.

Result: Used in the game's Kickstarter campaign. Funded in 9 days.
  • Dark Forest Environment — Concept Art for a Survival Game

Six environment concepts for a Canadian survival horror studio. Ancient trees, cursed fog, hidden ruins — all painted to feel explorable and terrifying.

Result: Art direction locked in 2 weeks. Studio hired me for full game asset package.
  • Valhalla Slot — Social Casino Art Package (Featured)

Full art package for a social casino slot game called Valhalla Slot. Norse mythology theme: Odin, ravens, runestones, and a golden axe wild symbol. No real money — just pure portfolio work for a gaming operator.

Result: 20+ unique assets. Client used them across web and mobile.
  • Portrait Commission — D&D Party of 6

A private commission for a Toronto-based D&D group. Six characters, custom poses, unified lighting, and hidden easter eggs for each player.

Result: Client printed it as a 24"x36" canvas. Two more referrals from the same group.

Reviews

What clients say
  • Marcus — Indie Game Developer, Vancouver

"I needed a main character that wasn't just 'cool' — but believable. Yusuf sent me three iterations in a week. The third one made my whole team stop and stare.
He also gave me layered PSD files with notes. That's rare. Most artists just send a webp and disappear. Yusuf actually thinks like a game dev.
Hired him again for my next project. Zero hesitation."

    Project: Norse Fantasy RPG
Result: Funded Kickstarter in 9 days
  • Sarah — Art Director at a Montreal Studio

"I've worked with a lot of concept artists. Yusuf is different. He doesn't wait for instructions — he asks the right questions first.
'What's the weather in this scene? Is this kingdom rich or decaying? What happened here 100 years ago?'
That level of thinking saved us weeks of revisions. His dark fantasy style matched our vision perfectly. Will work with him again."

    Project: Dark Forest Survival Game
Result: Full asset package delivered in 4 weeks
  • James — Social Casino Operator (UK)

"I needed Norse mythology art for a slot game — fast and high quality. Yusuf delivered 20+ assets in three weeks: characters, runes, background, wild symbols.
He understood the brief immediately. No back and forth. No 'can you send more references'. Just solid work.
The Valhalla Slot looks incredible. Players love the art. That's all that matters."

    Project: Valhalla Slot (social casino)
Result: 20+ assets, client renewed for second game
  • Emma — Private Collector, Toronto

"I commissioned a portrait of my D&D party as a surprise gift. Yusuf asked for descriptions, not just races and classes. He wanted to know their personalities, their scars, their favourite weapons.
The final piece made three grown adults cry.
He also printed and shipped the canvas himself. Professional, kind, and insanely talented."

    Project: D&D Party Portrait
Result: Printed canvas + two referral commissions
